Are you a fan of Jazz? Then you are in luck with this delicious drink for the summer. It will take you down the road to music and movies then spin you back around to find the right take on your favorite movie. So let’s look at the incredible film, “All that Jazz.”
All That Jazz is a 1979 American musical drama film directed by Bob Fosse. The screenplay, by Robert Alan Aurthur and Fosse, is a semi-autobiographical adventure based on aspects of Fosse’s life and career as a dancer, choreographer, and director.
The movie is about Joe Gideon, a theater director and choreographer trying to balance his career during his latest Broadway musical while editing a Hollywood film he has directing. According to Wikipedia, “He is a workaholic who chain-smokes cigarettes; without a daily dose of Vivaldi, Visine, Alka-Seltzer, Dexedrine, and sex, he wouldn’t have the energy to keep up the biggest “show” of all—his life. His girlfriend Katie Jagger, his ex-wife Audrey Paris, and daughter Michelle try to pull him back from the brink, but it is too late for his exhausted body and stress-ravaged heart. In his imagination, he flirts with an angel of death named Angelique.”
You can be the judge of it, and why not enjoy a drink with it.
After making a trip to the British Virgin Islands, we thought it might be great to add a special drink that we tasted in the islands. It’s both refreshing, and of course, it has a little extra kick due to a large amount of rum inside this particular drink. You can serve frozen or on the rocks!!! Plus you might want to listen to this song while you are making them.
1.5 oz Coconut Rum
2 oz Rose’s Lime Juice
1 oz Coco Lopez
1/2 slice of lime (Blended if frozen)
Splash of Sprite
Top with 1 oz of Dark Rum on Top
Slice of Lime Garnish
Add all ingredients into a glass and enjoy with your favorite friends while watching Cocktail.
You don’t have to live in the south to love this cooler; it’s good any place that you might want to drink it. The Hillybilly Buttkicker has a little extra kick to it, so you might want to turn on the TV and put a good movie into the DVD player so that you don’t need to worry about anything the rest of the evening. Be careful because this drink has some extra pop to it, and we don’t want you to lose the remote control.
While you are sipping this delicious drink, we recommend a beautiful little movie called by the same name. Somewhere in Time is a 1980 American romantic science fiction drama film directed by Jeannot Szwarc. The film stars Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour, and Christopher Plummer.
Reeve plays Richard Collier, a playwright who becomes obsessed with a photograph of a young woman at the Grand Hotel. Through self-hypnosis, he travels back in time to the year 1912 to find love with actress Elise McKenna (portrayed by Seymour). However, this relationship may not last as long as the two of them think; Elise’s manager, William Fawcett Robinson (portrayed by Plummer), fears that romance will derail her career and resolves to stop him.
